one case of Leaf Best Of Hockey and one box of 11-12 Dominion

    first the box of Dominion...

very bad in my opinion, all 6 "hits" were rookies, none of them popular
this box is really making me sad

    now the case of
    Leaf Best Of Hockey

    Sketch Cards:

two modern day 8.5 BGS cards

the crosby has really bad corners... I am wondering why it has a 8.5, shouldn't it be 9 ?

    8+9.5+8.5+10 = 36
    36/4 = 9

the 3rd card made up for the bad luck of the rest:

    very nice card

I'm not 100% sure...but I recall hearing you cant get a higher grade then .5 of the lowest.
So your lowest is 8, grade is 8.5. This could be wrong and I recall where but I remember someone at my LCS was saying that.

You can't get higher than 1 point above the lowest subgrade and the overall grade is not a straight average but a weighted one. The Corners subgrade is the second highest weighted, I think. It my be the highest so a low score there can really bring things down.

This is bang on. Can only be a max of 0.5 above the lowest grade.

Looks like a really weak break from both products. I wouldn't be happy with the seguin and Crosby at 8.5s, crack em out and you'd get more return

Get 10-11 Dominion instead, 11-12 Dominion tried to copy Cup and have rookies and rookies and more rookies. Very sad. In the 10-11 version you often got at least one very nice card of a Hall of Famer and it wasn't at all rookie dominated.

    Huge congrats on the Flower!

the lafleur saved the Leaf Case

here an example for another PSA 8:

so I don't consider the Leaf Case weak

Did anyone else look at the Mark Messier sketch card and think it was Jean Luc Picard / Patrick Stewart for a bit? lol
