Five Year Wait Is OVER!!!!

This was a card that I thought I would never see. I bought the only copy of the redemption card that I ever saw way back in early 2008, redeemed it...waited, waited, and waited. 18 months later, I called Upper Deck to find out if it would be made and was told that because they had exhausted their supply of sticker autos and couldn't come to a new agreement for more, it was not going to be produced. Down-hearted, I requested a replacement and that was that.

Until two weeks ago.

Out of the blue and causing me to pick up my jaw, it did appear on eBay. A quick PM exchange put on a BIN and the deal was made.

And here it is...



This probably won't mean much to a lot of folks out there, but for me this is a major void in the collection being filled. It certainly looks a lot better in the slideshow than this...

Very nice. Glad to hear a happy ending to an awful redemption story. I have had to do the same thing once, and it would drive me insane to see the card surface a couple years later.

My real concern was whether they'd use Habs stickers to finally produce a small number of Sharks-era autos - his 05-06 SPGU base parallel /5 was never produced, nor was his 05-06 Hot Prospects Shield.

wow very nice, congrats! I wonder how many total cards were made, if they were short of the stickers, wouldn't there be a chance that fewer than 50 would have been actually sent out?
