Real or Fake Wayne Gretzky Rookie Card?

Hey guys, my name's Mike and I'm new here. I'm a HUGE NHL fan and I've always wanted to own a Gretzky rookie. Recently, I found a seller that made one available in my area for a price I can afford. I'd like to know if you guys think it is authentic or fake. Here's some pictures:

What kind of grade would you also give it? About a 4? Thanks you guys!

Almost positive thats an authentic rookie. I guess his real rookie had an ink printing mishap and if you look at his shoulder you can see the yellowish-white dot. Here's a website that tells you how to tell if a Gretzky rookie is authentic or fake.

Yeah I've looked at that page, it's just that the card seems a bit pixelated, but I guess that's normal?

    Welcome to SCF!

It looks to me like you've got an authentic one on your hands. as noted above the distinguishing yellow dot is there. Grading wise it may not be the greatest condition but if that doesn't matter as much as just having your own copy, go for it!

Looks good to me. As long as the card is just for your PC and not for grading as it will grade poorly.

The pixelation could be a scanner issue, everything else looks legit, the color of the back of the card, the wear n tear appears to be age-related, etc

Welcome to SCF,u chose the right site with a lotta cool & great members *cough* ;)
As u can see,ur question was answered by a few members right away :)
By now,U probably have already purchased the great one's RC,looks legit, great for a personal collection, but not to be graded...As mentioned by others, dont send it for grading as it will come back very low,not only condition, but its off centered too..
    i had a similiar one,got a 3 :(
    Take care.....
