A SUPER (box) mailday if I ever saw one! Ted Lindsay X2 plus a Howe bonus!

I would go so far to label this as my 'white whale' even thought the set is only a year old. Ever since I saw Ted Lindsay in the checklist for the UM 11 Superbox set, I dreamt of adding one of the cards to my PC. His Redwings game jerseys are virtually non-existant in the hobby (yet Dr. Price was able to track one down) and to have a jumbo memorabilia card of his featuring a 55 year old piece of history would be simply amazing.

After a year of searching the jumbo memorabilia card appeared and then promply 'disappeared' on ebay. After contacting the seller, I was informed that it was consigned and the owner had a 'change of heart' midway through the listing. With that in mind I essentially wrote off ever seeing that card again.

Jump ahead 4 months and the auto/ mem Lindsay card miraculeously appears online. Within an hour, I fire off an offer and it's accepted. 1 down, 1 to go. Last week, I discovered the Linsday jumbo patch owner resides on another site. After an email and a super strong offer....well....you can see below :)

ITG Ultimate Memorabilia Superbox Memorabilia and Memorabilia/ auto 1/1's - Ted Lindsay

The 'Howe' bonus (as much as this card should never be second to anything) was a surprise ebay pickup a couple of weeks ago. I've wanted a copy of this from day 1, but always thought it would be out of my price range. Low and behold, a lower offer was accepted and I'm proud to have recently added this baby to the PC.
