I guess he should have registered his weapon like a law-abiding person would do. Then he wouldn't be faced with a decision on whether to face charges or save a kid. As for the pit bulls; they should be a banned species. At least the writer got that part right; they are as dangerous as a gun in many cases.

So he didn't register his weapon as he is supposed to as a law abiding citizen.
The fact that he didn't makes him a criminal.
Therefore, veg is defending criminals and their right to own guns."Luckily for us both I am intellectually above immature shallowness."
Baahahahahahahaha...oh, you were serious...

For years handguns were illegal in DC despite of the second amendment. When congress finally told DC to knock it off, the city put so much red tape to get firearms registered no one could register their handgun. This is a classic case of a politicians in this case the dc council making up their own laws in contrary to the constitution. If I were this guy I would fight this fine as far as possible.

Why does the article say that he did nothing illegal and then state what illegal act he did (not registering his gun)? They can write about this guy being fined because he saved a boy from pit bulls but an honest reporter would not manipulate the story to create such a headline. He was not fined for saving the boy or even shooting the dog. He was fined because his guns were not registered. This is nothing but a story that has been twisted to support an agenda and to try to make people believe he was in fact fined because he did something honorable in helping this boy.
I'm also curious about the quote "if our hero did commit a crime, exactly who is the “victim?”. Do they honestly think that you always have to have a victim to have a crime committed?Check out my NEW FaceBook Fan page of my abstract painting and graphic design work!!!
