    Actually, it's neither.
    It's an interview.

I think most people in general are secular for the exception of fundamentalists.

That would suggest that only fundamentalists are properly practicing their religion, which I disagree with.

I believe it's possible to get along in the secular world as a practicer without much trouble. The main problem is the people who have no personal will power and can only curb their urges when it's against the law (even then...). There are many, many people who live non-secular lives and get along just fine in the secular world without trying to make it a theocracy. UNfortunately, there's just as many people ready to lump all believers into the same mindset, just as they place beliefs of one denomination on an entire religion and judge all members of a religion on the actions of their craziest members.

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

There is no way to "properly" practice a religion.

Especially when every religion is splintered into many different beliefs without any one being held as the "Truth".....because all of them claim to be the "truth".

Within every sect of any religion there are different rules, some christians for example might say it's ok to do secular things, others disagree.

From my experience as an evangelical, they tend to preach against "worldly" things since it's a distraction from worshiping god.

So, I still believe that most people in general are pretty secular, fundamentalists for the most part are not, but they only make up a small portion of the country.

I disagree and thin most believers live non secular lives within the secular world. Why do you think that's impossible.

I don't think it's impossible, I just don't believe most religious people live non-secular lives.

Secular is pretty much anything which isn't religious, basically anything "worldly".

Just imagine living in America without doing anything worldly.

You can't go to the movies, you can't listen to secular music, you can't do anything which isn't religious in nature.

I have a hard time believing that many people live like that.

No. Non secular means following "God's law" before that of the world, wherever you may live. It doesn't mean that everything you do is religious in purpose.
While you understand the meaning of the words, you don't seem to understand the concept of living non secular.
