    Hockey comedy Goon scores Canada’s top box office prize

    TORONTO — Jay Baruchel’s hockey comedy Goon has scored Telefilm’s Golden Box Office prize for topping the box office in 2012.

    The annual award recognizes the homegrown English-language feature film that draws the most money at Canadian theatres.

    It comes with a $20,000 cash prize for the director and a $20,000 cash prize for the writers.
