Hello from Bull City
Glad to be on this board after discovering the TTM manager, which by the way has been very helpful so far.
A little about me, I am originally from Philadelphia, PA and now currently reside in Durham, NC (home of the Durham Bulls), I am currently working on the TV crew with the Bulls mainly as the "graphics/stats" guy, and I do some long-distance running with a store in Raleigh known as Capital RunWalk.
I've been collecting since about 2007 or 2008, and am recently coming off my second major "break" from the hobby. About 80% of my collection has come from TTM, 15% is purchased, and the other 5% are IP, or 50/50. (Personally, I am not particularly fond of asking players for their autographs in-person, but do make exceptions occasionally. I am not one to criticize those who do though.
I mainly collect Phillies items, OMLB's, magazines, as well as Roy Halladay and Chase Utley items.
Currently I am working on a 40's and 50's "project" where I am attempting to get autographs and letters from players who spent their time in the MLB during what I think to be the most transitional time yet in baseball history, the 40's and 50's. My main goal and love for collecting comes from the stories the signatures can tell (which is why I like having letters to go with each of my TTM pieces.
Glad to be on the board, and will hope to contribute in the future.
