The Day's Best Signings Thusfar ???
Hawks leading the way .....
Roszival - A stud - one of the best stay at home D-men in the World, and harder than steel.
Zeus - Big, and had a great playoff, tireless this year in the corners during the playoffs and finally utilized correctly.
Flyers - Emery - Looks to be over the bad behaviour, they didn't pay him much either. Finally a sensible signing by the Flyers.

It can't be Philly, because Philly never does anything right but........it's Philly!
They sign Emery for only a year, can let him walk if things don't work-out and for less then $2-million/yr.
Hate to give Edmonton credit for anything but the Ferrence signing, was badly needed and not grossly over-paid.

Yes, I just noticed the Ferrence deal. He will bring a wealth of positive back-line experience and help reduce the embarrasing GAA that the One-Way Oilers gave up over the past 2 seasons.

Khudobin (1-year, $800k) is a big improvement for the Canes from their backup in recent years, over Ellis/Peters/Boucher. I think he can give them enough quality starts and give Ward enough rest for them to sneak in to a late playoff spot.

Bouchard at $2M is a pretty good project signing.
There's not a lot of other deals made today that I think fit the bill of "good signings," only "less awful."Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

Zeus signed for 1 yr $1 mil, still can't find what Rozival signed for. Glad they are both staying on the Hawks this year.

IMO the best bang for your buck signing today was Mike Komisarek to the Canes for 700K and only for one year. OK Flame away now lol.

700K is all that Iginla is worth. Don't tell that to the Bruins.

In a matter of a couple of weeks, the "genius" Chiarelli has publicly humiliated Seguin, then dumped a possible franchise center for a good player and spare parts, was told by one of his core players that he no longer wants to be part of his organization and then to top it off, he signs a guy that was pretty much humiliated by his own team in the playoffs, who can no longer skate or play alongside elite players, for $6-million/yr.
I bet after his own stroke of genius, that Mike Gillies is Chiarelli's biggest fan right now.

Its not 6M, Base salary of 1.8 plus incentives, my guess he gets most of them, regardless, key is only One year and he will replace the concussion prone Horton just FINE...this is a signing to take another run at the Cup.
