IMO - moving Schneider means they want to win now. Luongo is still an elite goalie .... he may be the best Canadian goalie in the league, and I wouldnt be surprised if he starts between the pipes next year for Canada at the Olympics. Luongo will still be a very good goalie for a few more years. IF they decide to move Schneider, we need some offense, we need someone that can come in and contribute now .... I think we need a good center to make that center + Kesler as the 1st line, putting less preassure on the Sedins on the 2nd line. I know Kesler doesnt like the wing, but he is not a center, he does not make his teammates better. Now that we have Torts behind the bench .... he will simply tell Kesler to ™™™™ and deal with his new position.

IMO - If they decide to move Luongo ( or can find a trading partner ) I believe we will not do enough to make us "contenders" again in the next few years. We will forever be that middle of the road team, that makes the playoffs .... goes out 1st or 2nd round ... and continue to get slim pickings on the draft front

There are probably 25 team interested in the services of Schneider =). As long as the Canucks dont shoot themselves in the foot like they did with the Hodgson deal. I bet 25 of the teams didnt even know he was available ..... we sure didnt maximize our return with that move ....

Edmonton has surfaced as a rumoured destination. I'd be surprised to see him moved to a divisional rival, but it would make sense. They could ship gagner and a prospect or even a guy like Hopkins back the other way. Heck even Schneider for yak. I know it's out there but you never know. Tampa bay and Philly would seem more logical trade partner being in the east and have assets that could benefit van now and down the road.
