I'd check around the social media scene - find out if he's on Twitter or something like that and reach out to him. Maybe send a letter to him via the team to see if he would be interested in acquiring a collection for himself and/or family. The worst that can happen is you'll get static. Some guys are interested; others are not.
It's too bad that he didn't pan out the way you might have hoped. I know that when I got into the Gorges collection at first I was a bit worried that I'd end up holding the bag on it should something have happened early in his Habs career. Fortunately he's developed to the point that he earned a long-term contract and people are talking him being captain one day. It's a nice feeling.
But yeah if you don't get anything in an attempt to reach out to him directly I'd follow the learned advice of my peers in this thread. But I'd start at $25 OBO for the plates. ;)Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

I have a guy like that (but not as many as you) with Jesse Winchester.
I may be interested in the letters if you do move it (doing a fun project for myself and daughter)

Ahhhh... Jesse Winchester - the air to the Winchester rifle company. I remember when he first hit the league I was seriously thinking about collecting his stuff, but then it all kind of fell by the wayside. An interesting player to collect if only for his family history. Wait, what? That was a different Jesse Winchester? Well, then... that would have been an awkward in person auto request!

Judging what the obscure players some people collect on here, some have 100's of RC's of goalies who have played a game or 2 but the certainty he will ever get in the show and stick for a decade or so are very slim, so i wouldn't underestimate the market for your guy, it only takes one!
