Your thoughts on the number 3 car being taken out of retirement

How do you feel about Dillon using Dale's #3 at Daytona?

Just a number. I see nothing wrong with Austin using it. After all, it is RC's number.

I actually was surprised to see it out there in qualifying today. I feel that the Intimidator would feel proud & honored to see his legendary number on the tracks once again.

I love it. I know the number means a lot to a lot of people but it wasn't just Earnhardt's number. Austin is a good kid and will take care of it.

I couldn't agree more with the responses given so far. I was really surprised to read about how it was a controversial thing with so many people. I see it as a positive, and I'm sure Dale Sr. would too.

As a friend of mine so curtly put it once, "being offended is a choice."

Would it have ever been run though if Austin wasn't Richard's grandson?

So you think because it's Childresses grandson it was brought back to run? Maybe but I doubt it, I'd rather see Jr. running with it instead of Jarretts old number #88.

Probably. And I would love to see Jr. running it to but Richard owns the number

Well it's alright with me I reckon. It will never have the paint schemes as the Goodwrench #3 had & Dillon will never be the driver as Earnhardt was. I'll stick with HMS & all their drivers besides Nascar for me hasn't been the same since they dropped Winston & added Toyota as a car..........yuck!!
