I'm thinking UD put these into Series 2 as a test to see what the reaction would be. Seems like the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive thus far.

Hmmm... what about this: If UD wants to drive sales across brands, why not make an ICE insert set that spans across multiple products (and don't exclude retail offerings!)?

I would also love to see a base set of acetate cards. The 42 Clear Cut insert set in Team Canada looks awesome.

Wonder if UD could transform its ICE set into a complete acetate set? Guess you would have base, rookies, and autos as you cannot get memorabilia into an acetate card. Maybe make the base set large/or number of cards per pack small and then do something like UDS1/S2 where there are 6 rookies per box. But maybe have some be tiered like in ICE with smaller print runs and numbered. Maybe throw one auto per box as well. Thoughts?

We've seen acetate jersey cards in Ice 03-04.

We've seen acetate jersey cards in Ice 03-04.

Can you show me a picture?

I just did an ebay search of ICE and piece of authentic and it looks to me like all the jerseys from Ice are slabbed in cardboard; not acetate.

    Look at this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-04-UD-I...item1c39596205

I remember pulling a Messier that the swatch was visible from the back of the card.

Thank you for sharing all the examples of acetates with jerseys inside.
Personally, I never saw one before.

The local card shop before it closed had a Patrick Roy Signature Swatches for sale, I thought it was the sweetest card ever. Looked so nice
