Elite hits the shelves with an extensive 300-card base set. The breakdown is 200 veterans, 55 legends and 45 rookies. The legends and rookies are numbered to 999 and should fall twice per box, respectively. Unsure of the need for 200 veterans when there are only 100 in Elite in other sports. The metal foil look has been a trademark for years in Elite. Parallels are the Aspirations and Status Die Cut. The regular version total to a numbering of 100 between the two as Status will match the jersey number and Aspirations will make up the difference. Status also has Gold (/24) and Black (/1) parallels.

There are four insert sets in Elite. Elite Series features superstar veterans or legends while Franchise Future focuses on the young veterans and rookies. Face 2 Face and Passing The Torch showcase two players with each being viewed on their own side of the card. There are Gold (/24) and Black (/1) parallels of each.

Each box will yield two autographs and two relic on average. Be prepared for a lot of unnumbered relic sets such as Dominators, Back To The Future and Throwback Threads. All have Prime and Patch parallels. Rookies gets the jersey auto treatment with New Breed and Rookie Essentials. The regular versions are numbered to 599 with parallels available. There are a handful of auto sets, like Passing The Torch (dual auto), All-Time Greats and Turn Of The Century.
