Actually it's because this thread was never about Christians. It was about theists. There is a difference.

Oh, so all dogs are Golden Retrievers then?
Or is Christian a further distinction that was not mentioned until you came in. I don't assume every theist is Christian. In fact, I'm a non Christian theist.
Semantics is the difference between canine and dog, theism and believing in God. You 're saying theism is Christianity. You just said all dogs are the same breed. Well done.
I posted this thread and deliberately said "atheists" to avoid this turning into a Christianity thread. That means it isn't so much semantics as you apparently not caring what words mean. May as well revert to grunts at that point. Why is it a small group on only one side of the argument ignoring definitions and changing words? Alex changed the meaning of atheist to "anyone who disbelieves one particular god" then Habs changed agnostic to Kean "like totally everybody! Rad!" and now you're telling me "theist" and "Christian" are interchangeable. Does a Muslim believe in God? Should Jews not consider themselves theists?
Christianity is not the only relgion, no matter how much Bill Maher tells you. Stop parroting garbage and think for yourselves, guys.
Are you going to try to tell me a definition starting with "The belief that" is about anything but a belief of something now?Last edited by Wickabee; 03-20-2014 at 03:51 PM.

I think everyone understood that my point was about how off topic the thread is right now. I'll try to be more careful about my wording next time haha.

Boba, I assure you only one of us (the guy whining) is changing the meanings of words. We are merely pointing out the proper meaning to those that are ignorant of it.
