Galchenyuk Leaves United Centre on Crutches

Bit of an awkward collision with Marian Hossa in last night's game forced Alex Galchenyuk out of action. He took one or two shifts after the hit, but that was all.

Reports had him leaving the arena on crutches...if there is a glimpse of a silver lining, it's supposedly not the same knee that he injured in junior that forced him to miss almost all of his draft year.

Here's hoping the dynamic young man will be back in time for the playoffs.

That's bad for the Habs! Him and Pleky were doing good. We don't do as good without him in the lineup. Hope he'll be back for that second round of playoffs! We should beat Tampa Bay.

Not sure why the Habs "should beat Tampa"...with all the hype the 2 Gally's get, you would think they have combined for over a 100 pts, not T-bays rookies Johnson and Palat, and Stamkos doesn't look like he misses St.Louis at all....as always the X-factor is goaltending, if Bishop can't go...They have Lindback, but he is awful on the road....home ice will be huge in this series. jmho

The Malone(y) Pony was apparently arrested this morning for a DUI and Cocaine possession. He has been a key player in their games against Montreal. Without him and Bishop I like Montreal's chances.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

We should be Tampa because in many of the key areas we've got better players...with the very notable exception of Stamkos. He's otherworldly good. But I'll take our more balanced attack (and finally a real #1 line is a part of that!) over their team. And that goalie. :)

Bob Cole praising a Canadien player is newsworthy. In case you didn't know he is a lifelong Leaf lover and Hab hater. If you listen carefully to one his broadcast you easily hear him trying to will Montreal's opponent on to victory. But then that is true of most of our national hockey TV media as their paycheques depend on being pro-Toronto. At the end of the day it is the poor Leaf fans who pay the price as the same cast of clowns have them beleafing at the start of each and every season.
