1997-98 Donruss Preferred 5 BOX break

Yes you all read that right. 5 BOXES with 24 doublewide tins each.

Me and the missus cracked them this afternoon. it was a good time and a fine haul.

Couldn't get pics of them all there was a pile of silvers and ALL of my cut to the chase parallels were bronze but there was nothing to cry about this break )

Start off with the best of the CTTC parallels

    The 4 best
    Pavel Bure National Treasures
    Brett Hull National Treasures
    Trevor Linden
And I threw in ol' Vyacheslav Kozlov

    Next the silver National Treasures

Not upset to hit a double of Gretzky

These are a very nice insert in person. Very shiny and nice
    Color Guard all #/1500

    Line of the times

    Next up the GOLD's

And 1 of 2 Marian Hossa RC's was hoping for a cut to the chase variant but it'll do :)

    Now the top 5.

I don't think there's anyone who doesn't love these old school inserts. Nice Precious Metal cards!

Any Platinum is nice to pull, also did well on the Big Joe and Marleau Gold Rookies.

Wow what a great break. It's awesome to see the old inserts (they don't make them like they used to!) and the creativity behind the cards without sticking a GU swatch or Auto on them. I kinda wish they'd bring back the Line of the Times inserts as is.
