This is awesome. .
It feels so good to pay it forward. Last year I met a great family whose son is very sick and he was involved with Make a Wish
A police officer that knew the family set it up so that the young boy could meet Sidney Crosby and go to an event that he was at. The little kid went to the event and had a blast. Now the police officer was not able to go, so as a thank you the little boy wanted to get the police officer Sidney Crosbys autograph (who happens to be the dream autograph of both this child's and the police officer.) When I heard the police officer spends his own money for these make a wish events, and I heard the child was very sad he was unable to have anything signed by Sid. My pay it forward was that I sent an autographed Crosby puck for the kid to keep, and a Crosby signed 8x10 photo for the kid to give to the police officer....the joy in both their faces when I got the picture of the child giving the autograph to the police officer was much much more valuable than any amount of Crosby autographs! So I do encourage u all to pay it forward!Last edited by PittPens8771; 04-19-2014 at 09:25 AM.

This is a very nice gesture.
I haven't been very active on here in a while, but posts like this help keep me coming back.
I'll see if I can match some cards with some deserving collectors...

I like this idea--Pay it Forward. I am a Pirates fan but I got a cool 2014 Topps Heritage "Buy Back" card of a Met--1965 Topps Roy McMillan. I like these cards because they have the cool "gold embossed buy back" stamp on them. So I will offer this card to any Mets fan who wants it--inspired by this "Pay it Forward" idea. I like it. From time to time on Twitter I have dropped items in the mail (topload and PWE) to people that collect a certain player or team. It's always nice to help out another collector when you can.

This is what makes this hobby so great! Seeing the compassion of others is fantastic. Great idea and I will have to Pay-It-Forward myself.

I was just diagnosed with a rare incurable lung disease called LAM.
I'm trying to raise awareness and donations, and money to pay off doctor bills and the ones to come. I have to travel to Dallas in June to see a specialist. Have never listed cards on here to sell yet, it may be time to learn. Anyone who happens to sell some cards and needs a charity to donate to, consider donating here Thank you
