I think there is some kind of mistake. I know the score was 5-2 but I chose the wrong team therefore someone else should receive the point?

I believe you are right, by my understanding GOSHARKSGO should be the winner.

Seeing as it was stated in Playoff Predictor Part One that we would be using the regular season GTS scoring, it should be structured like this:

If someone correctly guesses the score for both the winning and losing team (i.e. the exact final score) that person is the nightly winner. If nobody gets the final score correctly, we will use the following scale to determine who gets the point:

    1. Correctly guess the score of winning team; closest score to losing team without going over
    2. Correctly guess the score of winning team; closest score to losing team going over
    3. Correctly guess the score of losing team; closest score to winning team without going over
    4. Correctly guess the score of losing team; closest score to winning team going over

To illustrate how it works, let’s look at this scenario:

    Player 1: Habs 4 – Leafs 2
    Player 2: Habs 1 – Leafs 3
    Player 3: Habs 3 – Leafs 0
    Player 4: Habs 2 – Leafs 1
    Player 5: Habs 3 – Leafs 1
    Final Score: Habs 5 - Leafs 1

In this scenario, because nobody correctly guessed the score of the winning team we would go to option 3 – Player 5 correctly guessed that the losing team would score one goal and that the winner would score 3 goals. They narrowly beat out Player 4.

Only one person can win per night; there will be no split points and no ties.

Since nobody guessed the Correct score of the winner (Philly), options 1 and 2 are invalid and puts us to option 3: Correctly guess the score of losing team; closest score to winning team without going over. In that case both Cjrw83, and GOSHARKSGO both had the Rangers losing and scoring 2 so they both have option 3 correct, but GOSHARKSGO was closest to the winner without going over by guessing Philly with 4 to Cjrw's 3 for Philly so point GOSHARKSGO!

    What a confusing process lol!

Do we need to go back and check previous days scores?
