Finally Getting Back To Collecting Need Advice!
Hey all my name is Dennis and I am from South Carolina. Been away from collecting for quite some time and now I am able to get back in to what I love, collecting football. I have about $200 to start back up with at the moment. What would be my best course of action? Grab a bunch of different blaster? Grab 1 higher end box? 2 lower end boxes? Wait for 2014 stuff? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Welcome to SCF! I specialize in basketball, but I'm sure someone from football will chime in and help you with a good way to spend the money you've allotted for cards.

What sport are you talking about? Football? Most of the time higher end stuff is better (hobby too) because you can pull better stuff. In the blasters you aren't guaranteed anything and if you are it is something low end for Wal Mart or something. That's not to say all expensive stuff is created equal. Some stuff is better than other. It basically comes down to what you are looking for. Autographs? Patches? Hall of Famer stuff? Rookies? etc. They basically make a product designed for every niche so once you find what you want just let us know and we will let you know what's best to get.

As mentioned in y post I am a football collector. I am not looking for anything particular, just need to build my collection back up so I can start trading again.

Hey Dennis, Welcome back to SCF. IF I were starting back up collecting, buying singles would be the best way. You always take a gamble while purchasing boxes where you might not pull a PC card you are looking for.

Hey Dennis, and welcome back to SCF! I am not helpful in football, but posting in the football section would definitely help you out.

My advice would be to wait for or get 2014 stuff over the 2013 stuff. The rookies in 2014 are going to be more desirable for trading and selling in the short term.

Welcome to SCF Dennis, have fun here and enjoy yourself! With $200, you could either get a high-end box or if you have someone in particular that you want to collect, $200 can get a long way to starting a collection.
