Panini Prizm took a beating from collectors over the last two years based on price point versus what the product contained. This year, Prizm is down to 12 packs from 20 and a big drop in price. Prizm contains a 210-card base set. It infuses 170 veterans, 30 rookies and 10 short prints. The SPs are card 201-210 and contain highlights from the 2013 season. Panini also uses the term "prizm" to refer to their refractors. Each box should contain six Prizms, which encompasses the base and inserts. There are numerous levels, all of which are numbered except for the regular Prizms.

Eight inserts sets can be found in Prizm. Rookies get the nod in Next ERA and Rookie Reign while future Hall Of Fame candidates get praised in Chasing The Hall. Fearless, Top Of The Order and Diamond Dominance features an assortment of today's stars Golden Leather gets the die cut treatment and highlights some of best defensive players in the game. USA Baseball rounds things out with players who have represented Team USA in world competition. All have Prizm parallel versions.

Each box should yield two autographs on average with at least one being on card. There are separate base and rookie autograph sets. Three insert sets get the auto treatment, Diamond Dominance, USA Baseball and Golden Leather. Others sets include Intuition and Signature Distinctions, which is a die cut series. Look for Prizm parallels and numbered versions for most of these sets.
