I suggested this 2 years back in my town, when there was a lot of young teenage violence. Set up cerfews, have check points, and make people have proof of employment. Pretty much, get people off the street in the bad areas, where the crime was at the highest. It was really out of control for a long time there. A lot of senseless violent crimes. I know one little boy got shot in killed by a drive by. He was laying on his grandpas couch sleeping.

Most towns currently have curfews for minors. Obviously not to the degree of having check points or checking for proof of employment. If anything like that were instituted there are so many logistics and rights violations that would be factors. I know in my town we have had lots of police cut backs and a rise in shootings and murders. I don't see any way Indianapolis would pay for something like that even if a person's rights weren't involved. I have no issue with minors having a curfew that is enforced, but when you start talking about this for adults... that would never fly.

I don't have the answer. Make legal gun ownership easier, stricter punishments for gang activity, death penalty process sped up in cut and dry cases just to name a few. Otherwise nuke that whole garbage town lol ;)
