Summer League: Thoughts?
Who got to watch some? Any thoughts?
I know that, due to the level of competition, these never necessarily indicate a whole lot about how the players will perform at the pro level, but at least it's a nice transition from college to the pros to help the rookies get acclimated.
While I didn't catch a full game, I did stop and watch some of the games for a little bit. I especially liked seeing Anthony Bennett and Nerlens Noel since they were out last year.

I liked the Bryce Cotton pickup by the Spurs. Also Kyle Anderson who will work very well for what the Spurs need him to do. Both have a very good feel for the game.
Watched Glen Rice Jr the one game vs the Spurs and he (and Porter) was quite impressive

It's a nice hold over until the NBA comes back and I heard some people talking about the graphed Vegas. I wouldn't mind going out there one day.

Was there a Mc dermott, I think I seen something like that. He was impressive at times, but didn't watch a lot.

Bennett played Summer League last year didn't he? I know he played in the Orlando one. Definitely played in the reg season although did nothing. Good to see him looking fit, massive chance for most improved player.
Watching Wiggins and Parker, it's clear that Parker is the most NBA ready. I watched a bit of the Jazz games mainly to see how Exum went. All the scouting reports were just about on the money. I'd like to see him share the point with Burke instead of play 2 guard.

Oh, he did? I didn't really watch much last year, but I thought he was out. My mistake, then. At any rate, he is definitely looking fitter for sure. I hardly recognized him at first.
Totally agree with you about Parker vs. Wiggins. I anticipated that after seeing film of both in college.
Exum is an intriguing prospect. I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops.
