Trip to PEI coming Currency ???
Apologize for not having a hcky themed post. Trip to PEI in about
a month. Have gotten great advice and info on here with earlier
question.
Should we exchange our currency? Will use credit card for gas, lodging, meals , but I'm sure
we will use some hard currency also. Exchange rate about the same.
Also travel distance From yarmouth to Woods Islands ferry ?
450+ Miles or kilometers?
thanks, dave

Unless you have a credit card that does not charge for the currency change, I would suggest using cash for just about everything (except for lodging/car rental/etc). Gas, meals, and all of that I would use cash if possible. The exchange isn't horrible but for a tank of gas ($60+ sometimes), the currency change charge could be a few bucks. But if you don't mind that I would still change some currency as most places don't accept American money.

I'm from Yarmouth most places will take USD, but it would be good to have cash on hand, from Yarmouth to the Ferry to PEI I would expect 5 hrs driving time its roughly 4 hrs nonstop (roughly 400 kms) from Yarmouth to Truro, you'll jump on another highway heading towards Cape Breton I actually haven't taken that route even though I lived in PEI for awhile but I would expect another hours drive after Truro
