One case of 2004/05 Upper Deck! - 1:7500 Pack Hit!

I've been wanting to bust a case of this stuff for probably a year or two now, and finally got around to saving for it slowly.
Anywho, I'll get right to it...

Here are my better hits (I had a lot more cool stuff):

The Derek Fisher and Tony Parker cards are Rainbow UD Exclusive parallels out of /25. NICE PLAYERS TO GET!

The Posey, Payton and Jamison are /100 Gold UD Exclusive parallels.

    AND TOP 3 HITS!!!!

BOOM! The KG is not the 1:2500 numbers patch. The KG is not the 1:5000 logos patch.
THE KG IS THE 1:7500 NAMES PATCH!!! BEYOND RARE AND BEAUTIFUL!! Look at all that stitching, even on the top of the patch window!!!!

Thanks for looking, guys. Let me know whatcha think :)

Sweeeeeeeeeeet KG patch! Submit it to the patches contest in the Contests forum!

04-05 UD is a GREAT bang for the buck, btw. I got a box of it a year or two ago and really enjoyed the break. You got some good Exclusives pulls, too; mine was Ronald Murray.

    >>>>>>>LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOY OH BOY DO I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR YALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<<<< <<<<<<

So after talking to a handful of members on my 2004/05 UD case, a lot of them were surprised I didn't pull any rainbows. The flight team rainbows (red) are very rare, but they said you should at least get 1 Rookie Academy Rainbow per case. I kept telling them I didn't get one. So I did my research because I had no idea the Rookie Academy cards had a rainbow parallel and I was curious on what they look like. After reading and using COMC archives, I found out that the rainbow parallel for these Rookie Academy cards is a refractor like finish, not all red like seen with the Flight Team Rainbow parallels.
    ...

Do you know where this is going???

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU IT WAS UNDER >>OUR<< (not just mine) noses the entire time!!!!

    ...

So I flip through all my inserts and rookies trying to pull out all the Rookie Academy cards to see if any have a refractor finish. I looked and looked, but to no avail.
I start to put them away and about to give up the effort when I remember I had one more sitting with my GUs from the case. The Dwight Howard because I considered it a nice hit.
Well I walk over to that pile and this is what I find....

    I can't believe I didn't notice this when I was busting!!!

Here is the story behind that.... I started busting my case a little before twilight when there was a bit of sunshine left. So, I had my blinds open and no lights on for the first box before it got just a little too dim. Then I closed my blinds and turned my room light on for the remaining 11 boxes. Guess what box I remember pulling that Dwight card in? Box 1. I didn't have enough light coming into my room from my blinds to give the card that distinctive refractor finish and so I just penny sleeved it like nothing and put it in the insert stack not even thinking twice.

And I guess I just took my above recap photos for you guys (that features the Dwight as a "better hit") too fast. I placed them on my bed, took a couple 1 second pictures and then put them all away and called it a night. Gosh, I can't believe I didn't notice it then!

There are two things I've come to learn from this...

    1. Double check ALL your cards after a break.
    2. I busted my case 24 hours ago and I'M STILL GETTING MOJO!!!!! YOU KNOW YOUR HOT WHEN YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO OPEN PACKS TO GET BIG MOJO!!!!!

    Ecstatic Brandon Out.
You just can't make this stuff up! LOL

Ha! Yep, ALWAYS double-check your stuff! I once found a 5/5 jersey card in a commons box at my LCS. :)

Nice Dwight. I pulled the reg insert from my box. Well, wait...better check to make sure, lol
