Trading, should it be 1 card for 1?

I've been recently thinking about trading, but the thing that irks me is that they want 3 or 4 R/U or Auto'd cards for just 1 driver, who is average. When I think of trading, it should be an equal amount, like 1 r/u card for 1 r/u card. Only way it should be different is like if it is either a low #'d card or a top notch driver/very popular. That I can see trading 2 or 3 cards for then. That's the rant for the day, anyone care to comment?

It's a case by case...or card by card basis. Nothing should be set in stone when trading.
