Case of national treasures inbound.. Need opinions
I got a case inbound. Don't know if I should open it and try my luck.. Or flip the unopened case for a quick profit... Got a really good price on the case. So making a profit is an easy task.. But the collector in my is biting at the bit to open a case...... HELP..

Are you a collector or an "investor"? If you collect cards and dont really care about making money, open it. If all you care about is making money, sell it, get out of trading cards, and get into the stock market.
If you are a "collector" but only if you can make money, pick something new to collect, like art or precious metals (something that actually has a chance of retaining its value).

Not to start an argument but He has a chance to cash in on something. Its like a player gets real hot and his cards soar in price and you have one of his cards and you decide you want to cash in on it and sell it. That doesn't make you any more of a non collector. Its the same thing except its a product that has went up in value.
I also think you should open it as its a really nice product and most of the breaks I have seen have been good.Flickr: Hidden Content

Since it's not our money/collection/decision, every single person here will want you to bust it so we can oooh and ahhh over the stuff. Maybe a little window shopping too?

I have seen quite a few case breaks of this product and my opinions are mixed. There are lots of loaded cases out there and more than half of the cases I have seen(around 20) have had some sort of Mackinnon short printed auto in them and I have only seen maybe 1-2 total dud cases. What does this mean? With all these sick hits out there floating around I can see the price of a lot of the high end cards go down in a hurry since everyone will have them and demand will sink.
This being the last Panini hockey product for now holding onto a case might also have its benefits since it was short printed I believe but with what I have said earlier and a lot of the cards selling for crazy money right now(a Mackinnon RPA recently sold for 8K) I would advise you to open the case and press your luck.

Is it? Yeah, the rookie treasures and some of the bigger cards are selling for $$, but I see a lot of cards selling on ebay for less than $30 including short printed patch and auto cards. Dual auto relics for less than $10 and retro phenom autos for 99 cents...Last edited by Drewk86a; 09-02-2014 at 11:04 AM.

I personally would sell it, if you got a good price and can make a profit? Why not?
That said, I'm a student with tution. so, I might be biased.Cheers: Kieran J.
