At what Price Point will Canadians stop buying NT hockey?
~$600 a box plus tax...
So getting close to $700 with tax in Ontario....
Remember when it was all sold out and there was no more copies for the Canadian dealers....
Oh yeah there's always copies to be found of everything...
Wonder if free lube comes with a box purchase..
$100 more than the Cup...hard to believe...almost..

Collectors will simply pay what they think it is worth. I'm not sure what is out of the ballpark for you here, or what you don't understand. In a certain percentage of people, they feel that the cards are nicer looking than The Cup coupled with the fact that it will be increasingly rare to find similar cards with Panini's loss of the ability to make other editions. Thus people are paying higher sums than the original price point. It's simple supply and demand. The current demand for these boxes is higher than for The Cup, thus people on average are paying more, regardless of your own personal opinion on the matter.

My LCS is SOLD OUT at $650 + taxes!!! The owner said it's flying off the shelves. Next batch will be around $700 before tax.
It's insane... the price is higher than the cup. I was hoping to buy my 1st National Treasure box, but it's out of my price range.
I agreed with comfortably9numb's comment... the cards are nicer than the cup and collectors are paying premium for it.

Not a negative thread...just a question
I like NT and bought a few singles, some group breaks and one box.
My LCS still has 2 boxes for $480 tax included which is funny cause all there other products are at least 50% overpriced.
I'll probably pick a couple in a month or two when they are in the 400's again...

Well he is banned on another forum for the exact same negativity that he posts here daily. So I figure it won't be too long until the obvious happens here once his shtick wears our.
As for an answer to the questions that has been asked everywhere for the last 3 weeks. If people are buying it what does it matter what it is priced at? Good for the stores.

This thread isn't a referendum on the utility of KingKuba.
It is agreed though that the negativity is tiresome.
