NBA 50 Greatest - what about the next ten?

NBA Full Court had a lively debate about who the next ten of the greatest should be added to the original 50 best list created in 1996:

    http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2014/1...41007_33056626

There are nine shoo-ins (for those who think Durant is too early, consider Shaq was added to the 1996 team after just four years as a player):

    Jason Kidd
    Kevin Garnett
    Kobe Bryant
    Allen Iverson
    Tim Duncan
    Dirk Nowitzki
    LeBron James
    Dwyane Wade
    Kevin Durant

The real question is, who is tenth? Some options:

Dominique Wilkins (yes, believe it or not, he wasn't on the original list)
    Gary Payton
    Alonzo Mourning
    Chris Webber
    Anfernee Hardaway
    Steve Nash
    Ray Allen
    Tracy McGrady
    Vince Carter
    Paul Pierce

    Dominique should be on there

Penny Hardaway and tracy mcgrady do not have the longevity due to injuries in my opinion.

Allen and pierce should be considered

I was strongly debating Allen until I forgot how Dominique was never added to the original team. I think 'Nique deserves it above anyone else mentioned or not mentioned.

Nique is a shoe-in for the 10th spot - no doubt.

Frankly, I think you may have to consider replacing Iverson with Pierce. Iverson may have better career numbers from a statistical standpoint, but he was also a volume shooter and the only option on his team. Granted, he CARRIED that team, but...

I think I would rank similarly but I don't know whats all the fuss about Chris Webber, I think he was good but I'm surprised to see his name in there.

agree penny and tmac have no business on this list imo. I'd say pierce or Payton
