Another newbie to the site
Hi fellow collectors,
New to the site, but not to the hobby. I've been in the hobby in various capacities since 1978. I've worked for a shop, and even worked for a small company (that doesn't exist now). I've done shows, both sides of the table. Been on ebay since 1998.
As for my personal collection, I have all the Topps baseball sets from 1978 to present, along with a slew of other sets during that same period. Working on trying to get some of the older sets. Also, since I grew up only 7 miles outside of the City of Brotherly Love, I have an 8-binder collection of Phillies cards, and I'm working on getting all the Topps cards (base sets, update sets only). I'm 5 cards shy of having 1957-1991 (1 in 1963, 2 in 1966, and 2 in 1967), and just 59 commons short in the 1992-2009 sets. In addition, my young son, decided a little over a year ago that he wanted a player to collect. He picked Darren Daulton (various reasons) and we're now about 16 cards shy of his cards from his playing days. There are still quite a few released post-playing days. Message me for our Daulton wantlist.
Hope to make a lot of friends here. Looks like a great site. I have a lot of work to do to get my inventory on here - please be patient. I do have a job and having a kid, I'm all over the place with him. :)
Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the site! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
And if you'd like to share I'd be curious to know what the small card company you worked for was and if you have any juicy details to tell from working there that's card related.Selling All My Cards Here------>Hidden Content

Small company was Star. Juicy details: Not a whole lot. Just that we had a real hard time getting Beckett to accept us as a legitimate card manufacturer because our cards were not distributed like Topps, Fleer & Donruss (later Score & UD - I started with Star before Score and UD produced baseball sets). They still don't recognize that we were the only company to have a basketball license for 3 seasons, and call the Fleer Jordan the RC, and the Star Jordans are XRCs. I have plenty of stories. You'll get them over time! I was with them in various capacities for about 7 years.

Well, I for one, loved the Star sets! Where else at that time, could I get 24 different cards of my favorite player?

Thanks to everyone. That's one thing I've always said about the hobby, that it's full of really, really great people. Looks like this site is no exception.

Nice to see how welcoming everyone is. I've already found a card we want for our collection, but the person who has it hasn't read my PM yet. One of these days..... hopefully.
