And to follow up on this, does this mean that you agree that all employed persons should pay taxes and low income families should not get things like "Earned" Income Credit? Or do you think that low income families should get a full refund of what they paid into the system as well as "earned" credit which is getting money that they did not pay into the system while others pay into the system with no return and still others have what they pay into the system increased?
Anything less than a flat tax with no refunds other than overpayment is nothing but socialism. Some people paying 25% of their income while others get 100% of their contribution back plus extra on top of it IS NOT the tax burden being spread equally.

You apparently missed the second half of the sentence so I will repeat it again... spread equally BASED ON PERSONAL INCOME. If a person cannot afford to pay a certain tax % while maintaining a stable income.. they're taxes should be low. If a person is making millions of dollars a year.. there is no logical reason their tax burden should be a lower % than the person who can't even afford to pay taxes in the first place. This is logic your side has never seemed to grasp.. ever. If you enrich the rich while taking even more away from the poor... you are setting up a country for failure!

I have run multiple businesses. I co-owned a sign painting business, co-owned a card shop, I owned my own landscaping business in northern PA, I was a retail marketing manager for a petroleum company in southeast PA and a store level manager in NC and WV.
Since you seem to consider yourself a superior knowledge on how businesses operate, please fill us in on your vast experience.

I know a lot of non-Catholics like this Pope cuz he's pretty progressive and trying to change the Church for the better, but....
Here's what I would like to see him say:
#1 Yes, the Catholic Church is FULLY responsible for all those horrific pedophile priests who have RAPED little boys for god knows how many decades in America and Europe, we acknowledge this HORRIBLE Sin and take responsibility, we allowed the most vulnerable and innocent of humans to experience one of the most traumatizing things that can be done to them. If this hell we talk about really DOES exists, all of those priests have earned a first class ticket to it.....having said that, I want to make sure that none of this ever happens again, therefore....
#2 No more BS, ALL priests and nuns can now marry if they like.....who the hell are we to say that humans should spend their entire life being celibate, this is not only insanely stupid, it contradicts our very humanly urges.
#3 Seriously guys, have you read this book? I mean SERIOUSLY....it's filled of nonsense! Here's what you got to do to be a good christian and follow the way of Christ, be a genuine good person, care for others who are less fortunate than you, this might be your one and only life, live it by being happy but don't forget those around you that need your help. If heaven is real, that's great, but lets make THIS life matter and let's remember that Christ not only told us to love thy neighbor, he also said to have compassion for your enemies.
^I can only dream that the Pope would say such reasonable things....

I'm not going to have a pissing contest with you sorry lol.. but the fact that you have so many failed ventures should speak for itself. There is no earthly way you can say running into a time crunch is "illogical" ... sorry man lol

This has nothing to do with the topic.. just the person in the topic. You shouldn't address the person who said that either.. he has a singular goal on here.. think groundsupport.

Where did you get that my ventures failed? The fact that you are going to excuse yourself by not having a "pissing match" with me tells me that the most you have probably ever run was a lawnmower.
And you are correct. Illogical is the wrong word. Idiotic is more like it. Anyone that has 75 hours of work to do, 2 days to do it and no employees to do it is an idiot and on the fast track to being yet another failed attempt at self-employment.

I'm actually one of the largest sports card eBay sellers going right now.. you should educate yourself. I am also looking for employee's to run my shipping for me so I can expand even more. Again, I do not want to get into a pissing contest with you. As for failed.. when you speak in past tense about a small business.. that would be a failure yes.

Well, I'm not surprised he's against trickle down economics since he has stated before that he's against the massive wealth inequality that exists in America.
And that's a good thing.
But overall, he needs to do even more....he needs to own up to the Pedophile thing, he NEEDS to take responsibility because the other pope didn't.
He should get on his knees and ask forgiveness to the families.....at least that is my opinion.

Um, busting packs and creating listings on eBay is FAR from running a brick and mortar business. I am sure you are quite busy doing it and it takes some significant organization to do it, but not the same.
As for failed. I closed my landscaping business to relocate. I sold my share of the co-owned businesses to my partners. Not even close to failed.
