Those look nothing like prime and are small patches...

Actually those are familiar-looking, so it's not clear at all who copied whom. Nice looking set anyway.

The Mega Patches look great.... but I'm surprised about some of the reaction. I thought no team logos on the cards was a deal breaker for a lot of folks? Guess I was wrong.

If it's UD then everything is Ok. ;)

Surprisingly enough...this. What people knocked about ITG, is just fine if UD does it. It's complaining for complaining's sake. I have been lamenting the loss of Prime, and these look pretty sweet. Plus, who cares who did it first? I echo the statement the statement about some new Habs stuff. I've been hitting Artifacts singles pretty hard to scratch that itch, hope to see some new stuff.

Not really, in my eyes. It's ONE subset with no logos, not the entire lineup of products the company offers.

Agree on both comments here :)

To some degree, we are going to see the "same" stuff over and over again. Only so many way you can make a jersey card, an autograph card, etc. A new photo & not a completely identical design is the most you're going to see change from one year to the next.

Of course, there will be totally new ideas come along some of the time - and if one company does it..... if it's a good idea, I don't see why it matters so much if someone else does something similar.

The knock I was making, and you both alluded to, is the "I don't want cards without NHL logos" (ITG) comments, but when UD does it (and Panini for that matter) the logos don't seem to matter. Not that I care all that much (collect what you like, and be happy with it, my opinion shouldn't really sway anyone) but if head shots and no logos are bad, shouldn't they be bad from anyone?? A little consistency in criticisms is what I'd like to see :)

Missing the point. With either brand, mega patches have only room for a head-shot of the player, so the lack of chest logo is No issue. However when a full jersey photo is Visible, and there is No team crest, it simply looks SILLY!
Leafs 14-15 Pure Glass cards are a classic example of this, but I honestly could careless of the manufacturer, if U.D. made the same card it would strike my eye as Equally SILLY.

I do agree 100% with the comment that airbrushed logos look terrible. I guess I just keep pretending those don't exist. Up until very recently, however, ITG has always used headshots with no logos visible, and people complained about that.

Gotcha, don't know that much about ITG as I have only acquired one PC card, but it is one of my faves, and the head-shot only makes the no logo a non issue:
