Self driving would be fine by me! Ha of course the government knows better. They see all the car crash data. You think a private company is going to be able to enforce this?
If I get in a car crash because some nimwit was stuffing his face with a cheeseburger I'm shoving that burger down his throat.

I think in the matter of distracted driving it's not completely about government knowing best. I'm not sure if that applies in this case. We have very little to go on as far as facts other than he was eating a burger form mcdonalds and was cited. I will say that on the surface eating a sandwich should not classify as distracted driving. Although could see eating a burger could be quite distracting. Say someone were trying to pull tomatoes off or put condiments one. Or maybe someone had dropped a piece on their shirt and was cleaning that up and not paying attention. I wonder if the officer just saw him eating and pulled him over or if maybe he witnessed him swerve or make other movements that eludes to him being distracted. We really don't know in this case unfortunately. I can see scenarios where it can go both ways... overreaching by the police and him actually being distracted by his burger. If someone is driving distracted and actually is a threat to others I don't have an issue with them being pulled over. It doesn't matter what the item was that distracted them if it's legit.

Article says the cop said he had been eating his burger for two miles. Not that much of a stretch. If he was doing 45MPH he would travel two miles in less than 3 minutes.

Wise up folks!

Hmm... still not a ton of info. If he's just driving down the road eating and maintaining proper speeds and in his lane I see little reason for him to be pulled over.

Notice the point went over the liberals heads.
I guess they love being controlled in all aspects by their government. They need their help to surive in life.

That's not the case at all. Although I would prefer police to pull over (and help everyone survive) people that are actually driving while distracted (not saying it was legit in this case).
