Misprinted card question
Not sure if this is the right place, or if anybody can even help. I opened a box of SP Game used and got the card below. The top appears to be damaged, but its not physical damage from mishandling. Its like the machine making it made a mistake and the paper folded over on the card. Couple things. Does anybody know if upperdeck will replace this card? Whats the process and how long does it usually take to replace the card? Is it even worth the time and effort to try to get it replaced? Thanks for the help!

That looks like what would be called a "printer's crease" on a comic book and in comics is considered a minor defect. Quite a bit rarer defect in cards, I think, but I have no idea if UD considers that a cause for replacement. Bit of a bummer on such a nice card!

printers crease sounds about right. Its not physically damaged, so i am guessing its from printing. I guess i will have to find the number to give them a call and see what they say. I think it sells for a decent amount, no clue what the BV would be. But hopefully they do something without running me around all over the place.

Have you had this happen before? Will they replace it without taking 2 years?

they are pretty good about it, only thing is they will probably replace with something else as im sure most of these are probably packed out. You might get lucky though and they hung onto a few for cases like this

I've never personally heard of them repairing damaged cards, so I wouldn't think so. But I have been wrong many many times before.

I have called UD and they refered me to the QA department VIA email. Not sure what they will do as i have never filed a damage claim before. Hopefully they take care of it and get it fixed or replaced.

Let us know if you get an answer on the QA front - that e-mail seems to be a black hole for me ([email protected] - please lmk if anyone has a better one for them!).
