long term outlook of panini brands

panini is obv releasing a ton of different products. which one will hold out as the staples of panini?

    prizm?
    select?
    court kings?

i'm leaning towards select with prizm as a close 2nd.

i don't even know where to begin for the high end stuff. there's just too much. if i had to go out on a limb i'd say gold standard and immaculate, but who knows what will be most sought after.
    flawless
    immaculate
    gold standard
    innovation
    spectra
...don't even want to bother typing out more names...it's just so diluted.

Immaculate for high end with Flawless and NT behind it. Gold Standard, Spectra, Preferred are all mid to high. Hopefully there's no more Innovation. Prizm for low end.

As far as Preferred goes, I think it's on the outs as most people are not happy paying 200 bucks and pulling autos of players they've never heard of before, the Booklets are cool, however there's so many. So unless they scale back on the auto checklist and make the box worth paying 200 for 4 cards one of them being a booklet, it's out.
Spectra will be interesting at about $300 for 7 autos or so, the card designs are really nice so we'll see how it goes year. Nobody want to pull a kurt rambis, mycheal Thompson, kelly tupicka, etc will paying this kind of money for a pack/box.

Prizm is the strongest low end brand they have and one of the strongest brands they have in general. For high end the problem is Panini releases the high end in other sports with mixed results at best so the brands become "tarnished" in a way for the basketball market. National Treasures is probably the strongest and best high end brand they have in my opinion though.

I forgot Hoops. They have done a good job bringing that one back. Their best - low end: Hoops; mid end: Prizm; high end: Immaculate.

Paramount hasn't really caused much of a stir.

Debuted at a terrible price. I'm not sure on the prices now but they would need to come down quite a bit for the product to be decent. The Next day RC autos are selling well though.

Price point is a little high for this product and haven't seen many breaks. Last year's Momentum had about the same price point with one or two less cards and that was a bust of a product IMO. You can get a box of that for about 75% of original price. Paramount will more than likely have the same fate in a couple months from now.
