First Look: 2014-15 In The Game Heroes & Prospects
http://www.beckett.com/news/2015/03/...oes-prospects/
Heroes & Prospects is back again this season, but the hobby is in for a bit of a shock as the longest-running brand of CHL-licensed trading cards has undergone a major transformation since being moved over to Leaf Trading Cards.
2014-15 In The Game Heroes & Prospects has changed from a traditional wax pack product to a hits-only box. While some could argue that this transition may have been a long time coming, those that were loyal builders of the base set featuring a wider array of young talent will undoubtedly have strong opinions regarding the new direction it has taken. Each box will contain five autograph cards in addition to four game-used memorabilia cards.

Nice looking cards.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

9 hits per box? I wonder if it will have the same price range. I kind of hope they don't try to make it a high-end set.
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

Is this a joke ? C'mon Leaf how to trash a good set going for 10 years...
And after people don't understand why the card doesn't sell on the secondary market...
It's the set builder who keep the value of a set alive... and now all we have is a trash hit only products.... 95% of these card won't even sell in dollar bin....
Leaf is to worst company I've seen... don't have an idea of how the hobby is working...
By the way... to the dumb designer of Leaf... it's VÉZINA not VEZNIA....

I was excited when I saw this post, but now that I have read the details, I am no longer excited. I have enjoyed collecting base cards of heroes who played for the Rangers and prospects who were drafted by the Rangers from the entire run of Heroes and Prospects as well as BTP, which has been one of my favourite sets to collect for the past few years. The "all-hit" reincarnation of this product is not something I am interested in at all.

If you like base cards then Leaf is probably not the company for you. They have basically eliminated base cards from so many of their sets from other sports and have gone to "hits" only.

What's up with that "Veznia" anyway? The shot on the left...you can see the full CH logo (Which they can't do). The shot on the right...the airbrushing that I oh so love. Enough with the airbrushing already! It reminds me of the baseball cards I used to get in my Shreddies when I was 9.

I don't know what to say anymore. When UD and ITG keep putting the same stuff out year after year, as people usually say, people complain its the same old crap. Now its changed and by seeing 4 pics and a product description all the sudden its crap.
They eliminated the base cards. How many people here did the base set and keep it? I see one above did collect base cards of their team. I suspect not many. If any of you pulled any of the cards above you wont be complaining.
Yeah Im not a fan of combining BTP & HP but Im not going to condemn the product. People said the same thing about leaf metal.

The mock-ups look like they were design in paint ... I assume the actual versions will be a lot more crisp and refined (fonts, grainy photos etc).
