    Estimate number of Selanne/Gretzky shadowbox auto's? ??

In 2014-15 spx, doing some math and get low numbers like 12-15 of each....
    What do you guys estimate?

Not sure if I did the calculations correctly.

Gotta be less than 50 though...idk...maybe not

Is there any insert set that's serial numbered (everything) and has insertion ratios? I took a quick look at the sell sheet, and didn't see one. When I crunch odds like that (how many of these unnumbered cards are there?) that's what I use for my starting point.

That kind of production would seem about right though. It would make sense to make very few of them (seems like a card they'd put 25 copies of each into packs, but 10 or 15 or something lower like that... sure)

I remember pulling an 11-12 SPx Shadowbox Auto Cody Hodgson and crunched the numbers and came up with roughly 20. I have only seen 3. The one I had, one on eBay and one at the Toronto Expo a year ago. 15-25 is believable, north of 25 or south of 15 and I get skeptical.

I was going by 1 rpa per box...which is usually standard.../399 /249 plus the parrallels

Don't think Spx has two in a box very often...

Hopefully UD gets my Selanne signed since its a redemption...

The odds were a lot tougher last year but also more boxes produced so about the same number of copies produced of each card.

Okay.... at that rate I see this:

    30 x 399 = 11,970
    12 x 249 = 2,988
    38 x 50 = 1,900
    37 x 10 = 370

    = 17,228 boxes

    x 12 packs per box: 206,736 packs
Retired Shadow Box Signatures are 1:1,175
    = 176 cards
/ 2 Players (assume equal production of Gretzky / Selanne):
    = 88 copies each.

I must be doing something wrong, lol

Sounds about right actually...so not too rare...1 in 16 cases about...

I think I used boxes instead of packs for the 1:1175 since I'm so used to 1 box = 1 pack these days..
