Fantastic 1st period. No D man within 50 feet of the goal on the 1st one and Fleury let a soft one go in for the 2nd. Not a fan of the ticky tacky calls in a playoff game either.

Yup Pens can't go on the attack when they're constantly in the penalty box, I think they weathered the first period okay to only be down by 2 goals.

2-1 and the Pens have the momentum right now.

Got the first one out of the way 2-1, The Pens carried the action after the first period but couldn't break through for the tying goal.

Lots of low quality shots on their part though. Fleury, ironically, was their lone bright spot. Pittsburgh needs to get at least 1 of Malkin or Crosby going.

Pens played like they have been for the last 3 months. No good scoring chances bad mental mistakes by the D. Fleury was pretty darn good. Let in a soft one I thought on the second one.

If you think the problem is Fleury or will be him your dead wrong. If you cant score you cant win. They haven't scored goals for 3 months now. Winnik is an absolute bum. I will take Zach Sill all day long. Bennett has to be put up on the top two lines. He is a waste on the 4th line.

If they bench Downie for Adams next game I will fire Johnston and Rutherbum myself (I already tried). Rant over

I thought Malkin played a solid game actually. He was physical and charged towards the net on numerous occasions. Unfortunately it didn't workout for Geno today but I was impressed with his effort. Crosby on the other hand looked invisible.

Malkin had a better game than Crosby for sure.lol... At least you noticed him when he was on the ice. Is Geno at 100% though? I am used to see him even more dominant even when playing against guys like McDonagh or Staal.

I don't think he is 100%. He missed a couple games late in the year with an "injury". He hasn't looked like the same player. If I had to bet I would say no he isn't 100%

Very tight 1st period thought I was watching a soccer game with the lack of shots on goal. 1-0 Rangers on a nice shot by Stepan
