Photos are a great idea, especially a team logo sheet (I use an 8x10) to get as many guys as possible. Not many of the Rubberducks have cards, but they do sell a team set for $5, but the 2015 set won't be out for a few weeks at the very least. Any balls other than the straight ROMLBs suck.
If you have any questions regarding Canal Park or 'graphing Akron, feel free to drop me a line. I've been there quite a bit and will probably be there quite a bit this year.

I'd definitely recommend the team logo sheets. They have worked very well in all my experiences with them. They are also good if there happens to be a random celebrity/athlete at the game and you can get them as well as it's not a player specific item.

I will be the first to tell you that team items for minor leagues might not be the best idea! Take a few moments and pull up a roster from 5, 10 and 15 years ago from the minor league team that you are graphing. Look and see how many of those guys made it! Here for instance is a roster from a AAA team I used to graph from a year I graphed them:

A team ball is hard to complete with the movement in the minors, the players will not all fit and the few stars who go through get lost in the mix of no names. Should you have to try a team item spend a few more dollars and pick up a cheap wooden bat. I have seen some minor league teams sell cracked game bats for $20! They have more room for signatures. Personally I like individual items. Team sets are cool, but come out late in the season. I like these blank customs for sure to bring with in case you catch a roaming instructor or a big prospect pops up that you had no idea would be there:

Check Elite Extra and Bowman products for players who have cards. Anytime that you league issues a top prospects and or all star sets, they are a great way to have something for some future Big Leaguers to sign. I realize that many all stars do not make it, but they are at least on the right track!Hidden Content ~ best SCF feature ever!

Yeah I look for cards on the cheap, I use people off of the selling pages here, or just commons or ebay, I got cards on the way for everybody playing for my local favorite minor league team the Rancho Cucamonga quakes , 8 players on the team have cards I got cards for all guys and 2 of their managers this yr also have cards as well, but my suggestion is check their roster, try to buy off here or ebay or justcommons.com is another good one I've used to help rack up my collection

If you love the minors, by all means collect them. I love minor league hockey in addition to the NHL. I get autographs in person. I have a number of players who were never called up and they have personal value to me and my collection. By all means consider team items, logo 8x10s, etc. I have even used team logo car flags and youth jerseys...easy to carry and you can go across seasons.
Love the idea of the racrs cards. Are there other manufacturers as well?
Are there other places good for hockey singles like the baseball justcommons link?

Another route to go for a team signed item is to try & get the line-up cards from the manager after the game & get those signed. They display rather nicely & best of all are free!
