Kind of funny that this program could have easily been sponsored by Michelle Obama and food police.

They both stink but at least the GOP is telling people what they can do with government funds (they don't seem to care what food you buy with your own money I guess). The Democrats tell us what food we can buy with our own money like we are babies.Selling All My Cards Here------>Hidden Content

Of course not. What you really want is to post in P&R using a biased article that is full of lies and deception and have everyone chug down the Kool-Aid with you while totally ignoring truth, facts and reality.
Let's do each other a favor. You add me to your ignore list and I will add you to mine. Then I don't have to read anymore idiotic liberal tripe and you don't have to read me presenting facts and reality.

I didn't read the article, but did read the lists. I'm guessing that they are trying to force healthier purchases and possibly reduce fraud to some extent. Overall, the things on the list seem like overreaches to me. I don't see issue with people on food stamps buying most of the items on this list. I can only wonder what sort of lobbies have influenced this list being created.

You've been on it for awhile now. I only responded to you the first time because I saw what you had posted when Alex quoted you.

I'm all for drug testing these people. I had to pass a drug test to get my job and pass random ones to keep it.
I'm kind of split on telling people what they can and cannot buy. I think that the state has the right to tell them what they can since it is the states money. I just don't see a need for such an intense list. Ban high end items like steak, lobster and booze. You don't need to get super specific. When we get groceries we budget out a certain list of items and stick to that. I do get some of it though. It's way cheaper to make your own spaghetti sauce than buy a premade one.

In about 35 states welfare pays more than a minimum wage job, and you don't have to even work! 13 states pay more than $15 an hour to be on welfare. In a few, you make more than a first year teacher on welfare! Approximately, 50% of Americans receive some government benefits. That is bad for the future because soon, there will be more people in the shopping cart then pushing it. (The people in the cart are ones recieving benefits, the people pushing are the taxpayers). Once the taxpayers can't support all of it, it'll all collapse. The U.S. has about 18 trillion in debt. Just let capitalism do its thing. Capitalism has created the most innovation, the most jobs, the most prosperity out of anything else in the world. Many of the Industry Giants of the early 1900s where sons of immigrants and were starving as kids, but through hard work rose above. That's the promise of America, if you work hard, the streets can be paved with gold. America is the best country on Earth and I just care about it and want it to stay great, but if we turn to Socialism, the product will be bad.

yes that's probably true. It's still the states money though. And if they end up getting a job somewhere they'll pry pee in a cup to get it.
