    UD vs. ITG thoughts

Wanted to get some feedback and thoughts on ITG (leaf now I guess), I've always collected UD for Trade and PC and took part in group case breaks and bought boxes, I'm starting to focus more attention on favorite team PC rather then rookies. I never really gave ITG a look or considered there products but the more I look the more I like there memorabilia cards and I'm thinking about collecting them but I don't know how tradable they are if I hit stuff not for my PC, seems like everyone is still focused on UD, so I just wanted to get some opinions.

Upper Deck is where the rookie cards are at, and that is a huge focus in this hobby.

ITG (now Leaf) has some amazing memorabilia cards (in particular, vintage), and great names (that UD doesn't) on their autograph checklists. The unlicensed aspect of their cards means that some collectors won't touch them.

Me? I like Memorabilia, Autographs, and Rookie Cards. I would suggest to anyone that's asking: Both companies make nice cards, so collect what you like from each.

Upper Deck for me will always be a home for the "classics" IMO. Youngs Guns, FWA, and The Cup will always be a hit for many collectors. But ITG does have there moments, that's for sure. For me, personally, I grab cards from both UD & ITG, and that's how i've always done it. Some things from ITG (Vintage / unique HHOF'rs cards) will range way out of my price range, so some UD products will always be the affordable option for me most of the time. Not every card, but I can get used to that.
