Lamoriello finds new 'Leaf' on life
Lou Lamoriello was not content to sit back as team president and watch the New Jersey Devils franchise he built begin a new era without his hands at the controls.
Lamoriello, 72, was not ready to retire.
Less than three months after being pushed out to the pasture by Devils owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer, who hired Ray Shero to take over on May 4, Lamoriello resigned from his role as president to "pursue other opportunities."
He was immediately hired as the 16th general manager in Toronto Maple Leafs' history, a stunning turn of events for the man who had been the longest-serving general manager with one team in league history.

He was a brilliant manager back in the day but I think the cheese slid off of old Lou's cracker a few years back starting with the Kovalchuk signing. His tenure should make for some interesting reading.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

Lou is used to running an organization his way. With the number of assistant GM's the Leafs have, Shanny, ownership and a vocal coach it will be interesting to see how he interacts with the input of others into running the organization.
