I did pretty well with 20 packs. Only three base doubles, two Above The Ice, a lot of die cuts and a good amount of other inserts too.

I would like to get a base set, at least.

More hits from my morning Timmys run today:

Hit my first double in 16 packs -- Eberle Highlights. All base and inserts have been good so far.

    Happy with the Price too.

Did the fresh box pick up.
Got 100 packs and was asked many times "are you sure you want a whole box".

Got 2 complete base sets along with the checklist card.

    Also got
2 sets of the die cuts
1 set plus 8 doubles of the shining futures
Above the ice I got 9 cards total with a double of Erik Karlsson
4 cards of the franchise force (Roy,Hall,Kessel,Wheeler)
    6 of the Platinum Profiles (Forsberg,Crosby,Fleury,Zetterberg,Ovechkin,Stamko s)

Back of the profiles are all numbered SS- where as the checklist has them as PP-. I am assuming someone missed this on the QA team.

    Thanks for the look.
I will still be buying a pack with my coffee pickups to try and complete the subsets.

Nice stuff Wayne! I'm guessing they were originally going to be called something like "Silver Spotlight" before going with "Platinum Profiles" instead.

Think it was going to be silver silhouettes.

Also would like to add that it was not the same rush I got when McDonalds had the cards. Think it was because I had my kids with me when I purchased them. These days I have grand kids but they don't drink coffee. Maybe next year they could make it you buy a cookie/timbits and are able to purchase packs. Might help to get the young ones included. I know I would be more inclined to take them along and sit at a table and watch them eat and open.

Yeah, it's great to see excitement over $2 packs of cards. And the cards are really nice... like I mentioned earlier, if there was a standalone UD set build around these cards as a low-mid end product, I would be onboard. I'm happily building this set while awaiting Series 1 to come out.

So glad to see this kind of excitement over a set especially with products like the cup being released around it. Personally have not been this excited for a release ever, and am happy to report this set has gotten my girlfriend involved. She always had a slight interest even came to the expo with me but something about these tim hortons cards has skyrocketed her interest. She's already picked up 7 packs and continues to send me photos of them with "did i get good ones?or ones we need" so then i use those cards to teach her more so thanks a lot to tim hortons and upper deck for making me able to share this awesome hobby with my girlfriend.
