    1999-00 Upper Deck Game jersey patch

    Hi.I recently acquired a card from that set and i was wondering how desirable they were?My understanding is they were very tuff pulls.Were they very sought after back then?Would like to see pictures if someones owns one or more.

    They were basically 1 of a kind cards back then. This was the start of jerseys and patches. Without ebay being a big at the time, no one will really know how much people would have paid for these ...... but I would guess even without ebay, these were easy $500 cards. Add in a nicer patch, a couple hundred more ...... maybe someone like Gretzky .... I dont think you were getting these now basic patch cards under $1000.

    Definitely a difficult pull. According to Beckett the series 2 patches were inserted at a rate of 1/7500. They have no rate listed for series 1. If I remember correctly boxes contained 36 packs, so 1/7500 packs would be around 1 per 208 boxes.

    These are cool. Think I saw a forsb3rg sell for $200 last on ebay.
    They don't come up often.

    Too bad jersey cards got played out....first is always best...lasting.
