    McDavid Injured

Can't help but think this will impact his card values a bit until he's back!

Wonder how many ebayers that have been pre-selling them are going to wake up to returns and cancellations?

Shouldn't the price go up? Considering these may be the only cards we ever see of him?

Damn, its only a broken collarbone... He didn't lose a leg or break his neck or anything.

He'll come back and rebound. A player with his talent doesn't just disappear overnight.

Short term his card prices will take a hit because the "investors" and non-hockey fan buyers who are pouncing on a new money maker will back off for a while because "out of sight out of mind", but I would hope any real hockey fan will know this isn't the end of the world. He's got a long career ahead of him.

These will definitely not be the only cards of him, even if he is out a couple of months he will still be in every single product going forward. UD isn't going to stop printing him because he is hurt.

Yeah I was not recommending that he was out for life - but I am guessing we won't see him play until about Jan or Feb. It's normal for card value to drop when you are injured - partly because people won't gamble $300 on a yg only seeing him play 12 games and not knowing how he will perform when he comes back.

An 18 year old breaks his collarbone, and the 1st thing everyone discusses is how the value of their cards are going to decline. What a time to be alive

this is not hallmark.com - this is a sport card site - so the discussion is how it will impact his sports cards - maybe you should send McDavid some flowers or bake him some cookies to help on the emotional support side of things :)
