Rawlings Official Major League Baseball real or fake
So today I bought a official MLB baseball from meijers and I just need some opinions or advice about the ball. First, should I trust meijers to buy official MLB baseball from there? Also, can anybody give me their opnion on what year the ball is from because it gots the former commissioners name on it instead of the new ones. Lastly, should I return it to get a newer version of the baeeball from this year?

I don't know what Meijer's is but if you bought it from a chain department store like Target it should be real. I couldn't put a date on it but if they had it in stock, it should be from 2014. The version of the ball should not really matter. If you want it for an autograph, you can use it for a player that was playing during the Selig era.

Do you think it would be fine for a player who played in the 50s and 60s to get autographed?

Yes. Some collectors are picky on only having players sign balls from their time period, but the vast majority could care less as long as it's an OMLB.

You can usually find them cheaper online. but yes the baseballs are legit from them. Should you be trying to get an older player try sliding a few bucks in with the request and ask for a personalization. Older players usually are better at signing as a rule and a few bucks goes a long way with them as they did not get the type of money that started flying around in the 1980's and beyond!
