Where do you buy collections?
Aside from eBay (and other online shops like COMC), Walmart and LCS, where do you buy your hockey cards?
It used to be that if you made it known that you were buying out collections, the local community (in Alberta) someone would come with a collection to sell. Now it seems like there is nothing.
Where have all the card collections gone? There is nothing better to me than sorting through a long forgotten collection on the way back from a back room or basement deal.

if you're looking to buy up someone's old collection - take a look at Kijijijijijijijijijiji. Usually a fair amount for sale there.

Put up an ad on Kijiji or Craiglist and you'll probably get a couple hits.

I always watch and listen at the shows for collections of the players, teams or vintage that I am looking for. Then I get within earshot to hear the dealers low ball the poor seller and deflate his expectations. Negotiating a purchase for a very reasonable price in the parking lot is then usually a snap.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.
