I usually send out mu first wave of ST TTMs on Valentines day. You can look and see who members of the autograph community had success with last season, but remember that players signing habits change. Here is a link to last years thread:

I have found that spring training successes have decreased from year to year, it is getting harder and harder to get TTM autos. However, a good tip is to focus on younger players for higher success rates, players who may not get much fan mail, and only have a couple of Bowman-type cards. Guys who are invites to spring training but not on the 40-man roster are a good choice as well. At the end of the day, it is a shorter window than the regular season, but there are often surprises in who signs during spring but doesn't during the season. Good luck!

Another tip is to look at coaches who were semi stars bask in the day. I love getting the Juan Samuel and Mookie Wilson type players who now are on coaching staffs!
