Complete novice from the UK
Hello, I'm Simon from Brighton in England.
Decided to start collecting baseball cards. Never done it before, closest was when I was a child we used to have Panini soccer stickers that you would collect and trade to stick in a book of all the teams and players. That was over thirty years ago.
Reading up on baseball card collecting it seems best to have a plan so I am going to start collecting the Chicago Cubs. First baseball game I went to was back in 07 to see the Cubs at Wrigley and have loved baseball since then and have followed the Cubs. Going to start with Topps as they seem to be the standard and see where it takes me.
Assume it will be harder to pick up cards and as I live in the England but I visit the US at least once year, (coming over for the Ryder Cup this September to Minnesota). I can order some boxes online over here.
Any tips and advice will be greatly appreciated.
Simon.

Hi Simon! Welcome to SCF. Good luck expanding your Cubs collection. Are you going to be aiming for higher end, like Bryants, or lower end?

At the moment I don't know as I have no idea of values yet. So I suppose i'll start low end and see where I want to go.

Welcome!
There are some baseball collectors from the UK. You might be able to trade/buy from them pretty easily for your needs if that's the case because the shipping costs should be reasonable from within your own country. Outside of that you can get people from the US or Canada to ship to the UK but you are going to have to foot the higher shipping cost though.Selling All My Cards Here------>Hidden Content
