I know you guys hear that all the time. To be honest though, when's the last time the NHL was nice to a Canadian team? They'll be nice to Quebec because they sniff some money over there but the other teams have established fanbases and they're doing relatively well financially, so no love there.

Phaneuf is treating us well so far, he's settling in. He's much better than Cowen.

If he keeps playing the PP with Karlsson, my fantasy team will love that change.

Also - the Leafs might be getting "snubbed" due to the fact that the team is pathetic right now (no offense to Leafs fans). Also, doesn't Toronto have the World Cup of Hockey & the World Juniors this coming season? I think the NHL released a comment somewhere where they were worried about oversaturating the market with big hockey events.

World cup or world Juniors has nothing to do about the Leafs fans and just think the leafs hand out $20 M to the NHL each year for teams like Canes,Coyotoes ETC ,Leafs have the Highest TV Ratings, Plus # 1 in sales merchandise, The leafs are like the Yankees, Cowboys , Packers ETC their fans are all over the world..

These are my thoughts on the Leafs centennial year -- everything that the NHL did for the Habs in 2009 they should do for the Leafs.

Also, I legit hope that UD and the Leafs are working together on a Centennial themed set. You guys deserve that, and it would be bonkers.

I am a little surprised that the NHL isn't showing some love for the Leafs. Living in the GTA, I was hoping for some cool events to celebrate the Leafs 100th. I think it would especially be fun to have an outdoor game.

Kind of like the Leafs snubbing the NHL's past attempts to locate a second team in Southern Ontario?
